HELLO

Hello to you and hello to the Coronavirus.

It is waking us up to what is possible when the usual modes of trade in all fields are interrupted.

I sent out a newsletter this morning suggesting that, and suggesting that we all need to know how to replace the things in our cupboards we get from supermarkets - by looking in our gardens, and foraging...  A reply I received was "...this won't happen in my lifetime".  Obviously this person has not been exposed either to the news, or newspapers.  Have you seen the empty racks?  I went into the supermarket this morning to see if it had made a difference here in what I would say was an affluent suburb - the answer is yes.  It looked just like the Coles in Doncaster which has been in the news.  Lots of aisles empty.  The only place you could buy toilet paper (one thing it is hard to make and love) was at the salvos, and they were running out fast.

One client in Coles told me she was cutting up nappies to use as toilet paper - imagine the washing.  I know we can do this, but do we want to?  Do you have a stock hidden away?  Below are photographs of preserved lemons, and my walnuts in the first stage before immersion in pickling fluid....

If you want the beginnings of knowledge - how to take advantage of what you already have but may not realise - then come to my workshop EAT YOUR WEEDS... on Sunday the 15th March, 2pm to 4pm ($25).

RSVP.  yogafirst@netcon.net.au
