LINEN LOO PAPER
Hi there Blogspot Lovelies,
Have got a treat for you. On my videos (Jahne Hope-William youtube) and here, I have a demo of how to rip up a sheet. Yes, some people have asked me how to do it!
You rip up the sheet into manageable squares, about the size of a kleenex tissue or handkerchief, and use them as toilet wipes. Some folk I know who have a BnB use these, and to them it is normal. They make them nice by overlocking the edges, and putting a logo in the corner. Fancy.
I don't know if you have noticed, but ordinary toilet rolls are getting narrower, and there are less pieces on every roll. This home made version (we used to all do this in the old days - as we are all alive and thriving), could save you about $400 per year.
HOW TO:
1. Prepare the bathroom by installing an ordinary (or stainless) bin with a lid by the toilet
2. In the bin place about a litre or two of water (enough to cover the soiled wipes, plus about half a cup of cheap white vinegar and a few drops of eucalyptus oil.
3. Have your cut squares close to the bin
4. When you are done, wipe your bottom leaving the large lumps in the loo - if they won't budge, you can flush them off holding on to the wipe to move some lumps.
5. Pop the used wipe in the bin and put the lid back on.
6. At the end of the day, or when you have used about half of the wipes, put the contents of the bin in your washing machine on a short, hot cycle. No need to tumble dry unless you want to.
RESULT: You will have become self sufficient in this regard, you will have eased the amount of paper going into the sewerage system, and you will have saved quite a few dollars. Success!
