COVID IMMUNITY DROPS...

COVID IMMUNITY DROPS..
Covid and all that names implies touches us in every minute.  I went out for coffee yesterday, and even then people were coming up to me with horror tales... I suppose they had to tell someone.  I wasn't really listening because I go my own way.

The licorice/honey drops are at the heart of my day to day immunity building regime.  It morphs and changes but the belief that underpins it doesn't change.
and, these drops are a whole lot cheaper than purchasing cough drops, and better for you.

Herbal medicine sees covid in the same way it sees the common cold, as the initial assault of an invading outside pernicious influence.  The body stops the disease at its borders, its skin, muscles and joints.  The fight between the immune system and the pathogen heats the body causing fever in the process.  If the body is strong enough, the pathogen is routed, sweated out.  This process opens the pores and allows heat to escape from the body causing chills.  Fever, nasal discharge and tearing eyes all work together to expel the invading pathogen from the body and bring it back into balance.  Herbal treatments help the immune system and tames the disease without damaging the tissues.

Licorice is an "emergency" herb and is used to treat acute symptoms in the early stages of infection and is unique in so far it is believed to activate all the energy channels in the body.  To make my IMMUNITY BOOSTING DROPS I boil a tablespoon of honey and half a tablespoon of licorice root (I have some I dried).

METHOD:  Easy as.  just two ingredients plus a sprinkle of cinnamon.

  • Just boil the licorice in a small non-stick pot with the honey until you reach the hard set stage (when you drop a little in water it goes like a hard boiled lolly).  You cannot walk away and leave this boiling.  You have to keep stirring.
  • When you have got to the hard set stage,
  • Strain it through a metal strainer.
  • Then put on a sheet of baking paper drop by drop.
  • Then sprinkle with some ground cinnamon.
  • (make sure you put every sticky implement you have used into hot water right away otherwise you will have to work hard to clean up.)
Licorice (If you do some research) has a multitude of healing applications.  Licorice protects the lungs by preventing the massive intake of fluids into the lungs.
Because it is neither a hot or cold herb it can be used with all other herbs to harmonise their effects to supplement energy, reduce fever, inflammation and spasms..
Contraindications.  People with high blood pressure should avoid excessive licorice intake.

  1. In Ayurveda it is said that if you heat honey above a certain temperature it becomes a poison. Thoughts?
